Who We Are

We are a highly skilled team of UK-based medical professionals—including Dentists, Doctors, Optometrists, Orthoptists, and Pharmacists—united by the goal of providing essential care to the world's most underserved communities.

Our Mission

We aim to address the unmet healthcare needs of underprivileged communities worldwide by delivering high-quality specialised medical care and support where it is needed most. Healthcare is a human right, not a privilege. Through collaboration, education, and services, we strive to enhance lives and support the development of local healthcare systems.

Our Founder

How We First Started

Humanitarian Medical Relief (HMR) was envisioned and founded by our CEO, Hammad Mansoor, with the aim of creating a holistic approach to aiding disadvantaged communities, by integrating the expertise of various healthcare professionals. The goal of this integration being to optimise resource utilisation, expanding the scope of services we could provide and enhancing patient outcomes.

Hammad, an Optometrist, has participated in and organised various Eye Care & Multi-Disciplinary Medical Aid trips over the last twenty years. He has personally volunteered to join deployments in Ghana, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Zambia, the Philippines, Gambia and Jordan.

Our Jordan mission

Our Work

In January 2025, our first mission in Jordan served Syrian and Palestinian refugees. We provided free dental care, oral hygiene education, eye examinations, spectacles, various eye drops, medical examinations, diagnosed medical conditions and devised treatment plans, prescribed medicines, and offered pharmacy support and health education. This was all provided free of charge.

  • Treating acute and chronic medical conditions

    We diagnose and manage a broad range of illnesses in underserved communities, including developing treatment plans, prescribing medication, and providing ongoing support.

  • Providing comprehensive eye care & spectacles

    We diagnose and treat eye conditions, provide free spectacles, and fund and arrange crucial eye operations such as cataract surgery. Our aim is to ensure that those we can help do not suffer further destitution due to poor eyesight and that no one lives with poor eyesight due to deprivation.

  • Providing remedial & crucial dental treatment

    We provide dental and oral health care, including extractions, fillings, oral hygiene education, and hygiene protocol training to improve safety and prevent infection.

  • Collaborating with & supporting local healthcare providers

    We aim to deliver healthcare education and provide hands-on teaching to build skills and develop local care. Our goal is to strengthen existing infrastructure and promote self-reliance where feasible.

We collaborate with partner charities and hosts to ensure our deployments are well-coordinated and tailored to the specific healthcare and medical training needs of each location. Our focus is on sustainable development, community collaboration, and lasting solutions.

When medical assistance alone is insufficient, we strive to provide food aid, sanitation, supplies, and other essential services.
