How We First Started

HMR was founded by CEO Hammad Mansoor to unite healthcare professionals and improve outcomes for disadvantaged communities.

Hammad, an Optometrist, has volunteered in medical aid trips across Africa and Asia for over twenty years.

How We Work

We collaborate with partner charities and hosts to ensure our deployments are well-coordinated and tailored to the specific healthcare and medical training needs of each location. Our focus is on sustainable development, community collaboration, and lasting solutions.

When medical assistance alone is insufficient, we strive to provide food aid, sanitation, supplies, and other essential services.

Our Missions

In 2025, our missions reached The Gambia, Jordan, and Syria—delivering vital healthcare, dental and eye care, and essential support to refugees and underserved communities. Our teams provided treatment, education, and specialist services to those with little or no access to care, including the first UK optometrists to enter Syria since the revolution. In 2025, our missions brought vital care to The Gambia, Jordan, and Syria.

The Gambia: December 2025

In December 2025, our team led the largest-ever foreign medical mission in The Gambia, delivering vital healthcare to underserved communities. We provided treatment and essential support to many patients who otherwise had little or no access to care.

Syria: November 2025

In November 2025, our team became the first UK optometrists to enter Syria since the revolution, delivering comprehensive eye care and dental support to communities with limited access to specialist healthcare.

Jordan: January 2025

Our first humanitarian mission in 2025 took place in Jordan, supporting Syrian and Palestinian refugees with limited access to healthcare. Our team provided dental care, eye exams, spectacles, medical assessments, and free medicines.
